Scott Wright is heading into his 14th year as part of the Performing Arts Department at EHS. He is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado Theatre and Dance Program where he received his BA in Theatre Education. Prior to EHS Scott crossed the country as a dancer, actor, singer, and choreographer/director in regional theater productions, summer stocks, dinner theater productions, and the cruise line industry. Scott has received regional acclaim and honors for his work as a director and choreographer in many award winning Colorado productions: Altar Boyz (2007 Denver Post Ovation Nomination Best Choreography), Cats (Director/Choreographer - 2008 Denver Post Ovation Nomination Best Revival of a Musical), My Fair Lady (2010 Denver Post Ovation Nomination Best Choreography), FOREVER PLAID (2009 Best Director Nomination Greeley Tribune), SWING (2008 Best Choreography Award Greeley Tribune), Oliver (2010 Best Choreographer Award Greeley Tribune), and Cats (2004 Denver Post Ovation Winner Best Choreography). Scott has appeared as a guest director and choreographer with Little Theatre of the Rockies, Colorado State University Department of Theater and Dance, Carousel Dinner Theater, Candlelight Dinner Playhouse, The Denver Vic, Cabaret Dinner Theater, Union Colony Dinner Theatre, Fort Collins Children's Theatre, and as a choreographer for PGT Entertainment -a leading producer of musical reviews and theatrical entertainment for the cruise line industry. Favorite onstage roles include: Hello Dolly (Barnaby Tucker), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Hysterium), You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Linus), Cats (Skimbleshanks), and one of his all time favorites, Clue the Musical (Mrs. White). Scott was part of the School of Theatre Arts And Dance Faculty at the University of Northern Colorado for three years teaching the senior level one-act directing class. In addition to his faculty responsibilities, he received his Masters degree in Theatre Education in 2016.
